I love foreign languages because they connect me with people who grew up in places with different ideas and cultural heritage. I’m excited to teach English so more people can gain the means and the confidence to look for these enriching connections, too.
If I’m not learning languages, I find other opportunities for those human connections – reading classical literature of different countries, spending time with children or keeping up with current political affairs – the news that move our societies on a global scale.
Mám ráda cizí jazyky, protože mě spojují s lidmi z různých míst a kultur. Jsem ráda, že výukou angličtiny můžu prostředky k těmto lidským setkáním předávat druhým, aby se pak sebevědomě do toho objevování mohli pustit.
Když se zrovna neučím jazyky, hledám možnost propojení s ostatními jinde – ráda čtu klasickou literaturu z různých zemí, trávím čas s dětmi a sleduji aktuální politické dění – to, které hýbe naší společností v globálním měřítku.
